King Photography Studio was  started by Nelson King in 1933 in Woodworth North Dakota.  Mr. King only operated the studio there a short while when he decided to move the studio to Jamestown.  He owned the studio until he sold it to Jim Pallansch and Jack Schlenker in 1965.  Jim and Jack ran the business until David Nelson was hired in 1986 to manage the business.  In 1993 David and his wife Sheila bought the business and in 1996 built their dream studio of 11,000 sq. ft. in an old building on main street.  They operated it there until it burnt down in December to 2005.  David and Sheila move the busniess into space provided them by Cable Services of Jamestown while the remodeled another building on main street which they moved into on January of 2007.  The new studio is a bit smaller but more effecent and still offers many backgrounds and sets.   

Lil is usually the first person you will meet when calling or entering our studio.  She is the office manager and wedding cordinator.  She is the one resposible for keeping David busy.  If you have any questions about prices, packages or clothing and backgrounds, she's the one to check with.
